So true ! In french, it is even worse. We say “fausse couche", which means “fake birth", as if we had a fake pregnancy. I hate it. I personally use the term “spontaneous abortion". It is a bit too long but it is the most accurate term in my opinion. It means that the body took the decision to abort.
